Deciding on Doors
Providing guests with a warm welcome through a breathtaking entry door is all it takes to lure them in for a night of fun.
Exterior Doors
Choosing the right door for the front, or exterior, of your house can make or break the style you are going for. But no matter if it's chic, traditional, elegant, modern, or medieval, your exterior door must withstand all of the obstacles it runs into, especially weather. Steel, hardwood, or fiberglass doors are highly recommended as exterior doors because they do not wear and tear easily, and you can have them stained as any color or shade of wood that you would like!
Types of Interior Doors
Hinged- typical door opening inward, ex. bedroom door
Sliding- typical patio door, slides open sideways instead of opening in or out
Pocket- sliding door, hidden when not in use by sliding into a pocket in the wall
Folding- generally used for closets, two panels hinged together to open out and over
It's in your house's best interest to hire a contractor to install the doors for your home. The contractor will make sure that the door is a perfect fit, by taking accurate measurements, and will install it in the most secure and stable manner. There will be no gaps or spaces left open after the door is installed; it will be tightly sealed into place. Contractors insured and certified in door installation are also able to repair doors and install garage doors. Good luck with deciding on doors!
